Details about the Ten Lakes Tour cycling tour

The start and finish of the bike tour are the Trumer seen. You cycle along the ten lakes via Salzburg, Gmunden, Hallstatt and Bad Ischl. The Ten Lakes Tour is perfect for your next cycling adventure. Because with every step on the pedals, you get closer to the mesmerizing backdrop of the lake.

The highlights of the cycling holiday at a glance

  • Oberndorf: The birthplace of the Christmas carol "Silent Night". Cycle a few kilometres further to Arnsdorf, where the famous Stille Nacht Museum is located.

  • Schafberg: Up the mountain with the rack railway, that's the motto at the Wolfgangsee. When you reach the top, you can be sure of the beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding lake district of the Salzkammergut!

  • Kaiservilla Bad Ischl: The "Kaiservilla", where Empress Sisi and Emperor Franz Joseph loved to spend the summer months. Tip: The famous tea house of Empress Sisi is worth a visit.

  • Hangar 7 in Salzburg: For the race fanatics and Max Verstappen fans among us, this airport hangar is a collection of historic planes, helicopters and Formula 1 race cars and serves as the home base for the Flying Bulls, a private jet fleet based in Salzburg.

  • Wildkar waterfall in Seeham: On top of the Teufelgraben with a magnificent view over the Obertrummersee, a beautiful walk starts in the nature park that leads along the river Teufelsgrabenbach to the Wildkar waterfall, a natural monument of no less than 5m high and 20m wide.
