Is the Danube Cycle Path paved?
The Danube Cycle Path stands out as one of Europe's premier cycling routes, boasting predominantly high-quality paved surfaces along its course. Notably, the path's excellence is most pronounced in Germany and Austria. In Slovakia and Hungary, some stretches may feature less optimal conditions, occasionally incorporating gravel or stone paths. Rest assured; our bikes are well-equipped to navigate these varying terrains and electric bikes are available on all itineraries.
Following the EuroVelo Route 6 (EV6) signs ensures smooth navigation throughout the journey. Yet, for added reassurance, downloadable maps and GPX tracks are available for all Danube cycling holidays.
