You cycle on well-sign-posted bike paths and gravel roads as well as side streets with less traffic, short sections are on streets with more traffic. To some extent, there are simpler trail conditions with raw gravel. Flat to slightly hilly tour course.
Individual arrival in Stockholm. Take your first walking tour of the Swedish capital and explore some of its many sights and tourist attractions. In the evening, a welcome briefing and bike adjustment (if rental bikes are included) will take place. Overnight in Stockholm.
The bike tour takes you along an old trade route that has existed since the Viking Age and runs along Sweden's third largest lake, Lake Mälaren. Along the way, pass the World Heritage-listed Drottningholm Palace. Here, right on the shore of Lake Mälaren, the royal family grew up. The estate also houses the Chinese Pavilion from the 18th century. Continue via a short ferry crossing to Södertälje. In Sturehov, located on the eastern Lake Mälaren, it's time for a late lunch. Södertälje, the home of Scania, is located south of Stockholm, where Lake Mälaren is connected to the Baltic Sea via the lock in the Södertälje Canal. Overnight in Södertalje.
The express train will take you to Gothenburg, arriving around lunchtime. In the afternoon there is plenty of time to explore the southern archipelago of Gothenburg, reached in less than an hour by ferry (not included). Explore the car-free islands of Styrsö and Donsö, as well as the tranquillity and idyllic scenery of the archipelago. Take a bath in the refreshing sea before returning to Gothenburg and enjoy the evening at one of the city's many restaurants.
You cycle out of the city, past Särö, the former playground of the old royal family and high society of Gothenburg. Cliffs, lush forests, coves and marinas line your path. In the late afternoon, you will reach Kungsbacka, a pleasant town with an impressive old town.
Enjoy the breathtaking views on today's route past horse farms and pastures, in addition, the Li cemetery with more than 100 stone megaliths awaits you. Once you reach Åsa, the sea accompanies you again and leads you to Varberg. As you approach the town, the castle towers in front of you. Optionally, you can visit the Fort and the Bockstensmann, a medieval male body from the 14th century (not included).
Look forward to picturesque fishing villages and handicrafts. In Träslövsläge you can enjoy freshly cooked lobsters and stroll through the older parts of the city. Today's stage finish is Falkenberg, one of the oldest towns in the area. Then you travel by train (not included) within 90 minutes to Helsingborg where you stay overnight.
After breakfast, the ferry (approx. SEK 450 per person, not included) takes you to Helsingør in just 20 minutes and you have reached the Danish territory. Take some time to stroll through the picturesque harbour town and visit Kronoberg Palace before continuing past beautiful sandy beaches, stunning scenery and beautifully scented forests to Copenhagen, Denmark's bustling capital and cycling city par excellence.
