Get on your bike and this eight-day trip across the lake can begin.

You cycle along the Salzach to Oberndorf (the birthplace of the Christmas carol "Silent Night"), via Arnsdorf (visit the Silent Night Museum here) to Michaelbeuern (Abbey) and further into the Trumer-Seen-Land along the Obertrumer See, Mattsee and Grabensee to the Wallersee. A shorter, direct stage variant is also possible.
First you cycle along the banks of the Mondsee to the Attersee. This is the largest lake in the Salzkammergut and is not only known for its deep green color. Many celebrities from far and wide live in the stately homes located on the banks. By boat (only on arrival from 01.07 - 31.08.) or cycling along the Attersee it continues to Weyregg and then through the Aurachtal to the Traunsee to Gmunden, here you visit the castle Orth and the ceramics factory, via Altmünster, you visit here the bicycle museum, to Traunkirchen where you spend the night, you cycle past the monastery Fischerkanzel.
By train you travel from the Traunsee to Obertraun am Hallstätter See, where you visit the ice caves of Dachstein. Along the lake you cycle to Hallstatt "most beautiful city on the lake in the world" and visit the spectacular viewpoint and the oldest salt mine here. Today's final destination is Bad Goisern or one of the neighboring villages.
Today you will first cycle to Bad Ischl, visit the Kaiserpark, the Kaiservilla, Sissi's Teehaus and be sure to try the sweet specialties in the famous Café Zauner, because Emperor Franz Josef and his Sissi have already enjoyed the Gugelhupf here. Continue along the Ischler Ache to Wolfgangsee via Strobl, Abersee with the Zinkenbachklamm and St. Gilgen. You reach the Mozart village on Wolfgangsee, St. Wolfgang with the most famous hotel “dem Weissen Rössl, the parish church and the cog railway to the Schafberg.
First visit the Mozart House in St. Gilgen and then continue cycling to the deep blue Fuschlsee. From there to the Tiefbrunnau, past the Hintersee and through the Strubklamm to the Wiestal with the reservoir. Through the Glasenbachklamm into the Salzach valley. Shortly before Salzburg, a visit to Schloss Hellbrunn with the park with the pavilion from the film The Sound of Music, the zoo and fountains is worthwhile. The final destination is the festival and Mozart city of Salzburg with its numerous sights such as the fortress, Mozart's birthplace and the old town.

Route information
On the shores of the lake and on the Salzach, the cycling routes are completely flat. In between, the terrain is mostly hilly. Most of the tour leads on cycle paths and very little used side roads from lake to lake. Only a few, short stretches sometimes on busy roads.
