Commencing in Munich, the journey commences with a bike ride through Forstenrieder Park, leading to the picturesque Lake Starnberg. Pedal along the lakeside road to Seeshaupt, then continue through charming Bavarian towns. Traverse the rustic beauty of Lake Osterseen and Lake Riegsee before arriving at the enchanting Murnau am Staffelsee.
Begin by cycling through the expansive Murnauer Moos, Central Europe's largest swamp area. Progress through pristine nature along the Loisach River to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. A purposely short stage allows for an individual excursion on the Zugspitzbahn mountain railway. From the peak at 2962 metres, take in the breathtaking Alpine vistas.
Embark on a cycling journey from Garmisch-Partenkirchen through Klais to the scenic Barmsee. Choose to continue directly to your lodging or opt for a detour via Mittenwald and Scharnitz to the Isar's source. Ascend 300 meters to Scharnitz, then traverse enchanting gorges and alpine meadows to reach the Isar's origin.
Cycle back through a sunlit valley with panoramic views of Karwendel and Wettersteingebirge mountains. Pass by Mittenwald, concluding your route in Wallgau—a bastion of Bavarian traditions in daily life.
Traverse the Isarwinkel and track the translucent, turquoise currents of Lake Sylvenstein. Pedal through picturesque vistas, passing Lenggries en route to Bad Tölz. Positioned at the confluence of the Isar River and the ancient salt route from Reichenhall to Allgäu, this locale swiftly blossomed into a bustling trade hub. Opulent mansions stand as testament to its golden era.
Pedal through the idyllic Tegernsee landscape to Gmund by Lake Tegernsee, treating yourself to a stunning panoramic lake view. Trace the Gaißbach valley to return to Bad Tölz. Explore the Tölzer Market Street, offering insights into the renowned TV series "Der Bulle von Tölz".
Follow the Isar bike path from Bad Tölz, passing through Geretsried and Wolfratshausen, leading directly to Grünwald. Experience a few gentle ascents before returning to Bavaria's capital, Munich. Delve into the city's myriad landmarks and attractions, embracing its rich culture and history.

Route information
A generally easy tour. A few short climbs can also be conquered almost effortlessly. You will cycle on beautiful cycle paths and small secondary roads, main roads only in short stretches. The route is mostly asphalted, with some longer stretches on well-travelled natural roads.
